And the Itsy-Bitsy....

Spider fell from my scoop today!! Really not so itsy-bitsy. It's a 925 silver earring that weighs in at 6.1 grams. Pretty heavy for a spider and an earring too. I spent about 3 hrs. in the water this morning, using the AT Gold w/5 x 8 coil and Grey Ghost Ampbian headphones. I'm really enjoying the Amphibs, very pleasing tones for my tired old ears.

Here's a pic of the total take for the day. Check the size of that spider!!

Not a whole lot of loot, but enough to keep my interest.

Here's a closeup of the Spider, topside. He's got a large bead of amber in his thorax and 2 small beads of amber for his eyeballs. His head along with his front 2 legs and his back 3 legs on each side are articulated so they all move.

And here's his underside with the 925 stamp.

This is one of the more unusual pieces I have ever found and I've found some weird ones before. Luckily, it creeped out BCM, so I get to keep it!!

get out the RAID :detecting:
dam cool find

I don't care for spiders, but could handle seeing that one in my scoop. Nice find. HH jim tn

I'm slowly learning it's language, some different from the AT Pro that I use most of the time. This was only my second trip in the water with it, so I've still got more to learn.

Good catch, BCD! That is an unusual find - good that you got that giant biter away from the swimmers!

Yeh! That is cool!
I love it'
How long is that thing? Funny, a woman
was wearing a spider like that huh?
Hah. Spiderwoman!

Very nice chunk of silver, with articulating legs no less. A fellow just never knows what treasure awaits us all out there. Nice find!:clapping:
