And the clad just keeps coming...and.....

I can't believe this sports field holds so much clad but that's ALL it holds. Besides a couple keys and two
toy cars I have found no rings etc. I began at 7:30am and knocked off at 3:00pm this afternoon. Despite how
light the Ace 250 is my arm feels like it wants to fall off. $16.00 is not a bad haul for a nice day in the sun.

I dug a small rock that kept giving a bell tone. I have no idea what it is. The 250 says its in the silver range.
It seems to have some shiny mica pices in it. I wonder if its some kind or ore?

Battery money!

How much sensitivity were you running?

It seems odd to me that you have only 1 Nickel, disproportionate even. Does the 250 dislike Nickels, or do you not dig them? No disrespect intended just curious.

I run it at five to six bars. Six most of the time

There are a lot of small pieces of slaw that come in as a nickel. The Ace is usually really accurate but in this field ( I have gotten to know the lay of the land really well ) its usually slaw, so right now I am cherry picking. I have never seen so many quarters and .dimes! The pennies are plentiful too but after 7 1/2 hours yesterday I started by passing them. I can go back later.

Today, Saturday we got a boatload of rain. I got two hours in early this morning before light then the rain drove me out. Got another $5.45 cents.
Go back tomorrow if the weather gets better.

"Battery money"

More like gas money. I just added up this weeks take and its at $40. I wish it were that way all the time. I can't believe no one really took the time to his this place.

Nice hunt!:detecting:Good clad haul!:clapping:Hey, have you tried to see if a magnet will stick to that rock?:shrug:I wonder if it's just a hotrock? Hey, it could be a chunk of galena(silver ore), huh? Pretty cool, anyways.:wiggle:Thanks for sharing:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

I threw in it with my lad to clean it up. GUESS WHAT HAPPENED. It turned all the clad pink
and the rock came out looking black.. No. I tried a magnet. I thought it might be a small meteorite.
I scratched off the black surface at it looks silver, really right sliver! The vinegar must have had a chemical
reaction to the specimen.

I had to run the coins through the tumbler again, with just vinegar but no soap as the soap is what builds
up the pressure on the inside. After two hours the pink was gon.
