I decided to make a change in beaches last night so I headed down to the local public beach to give it a try. I haven't been there for a while and it usually turns up something silver and occassionally some gold. The water temp has finally hit 80 degrees so the locals are starting to swim again, unlike those crazy canucks who are int the water year round down here.
The sand has shifted a lot since I last hunted the public beach and I scored a few meager goodies, got bombarded with questions by the kids and finished with a glass of wine on the beach with my neighbours who were down for the green flash (didn't happen, too much cloud cover).
Here's the nut:

A silver friendship ring, a silver toe ring, 73 cents and an old button. I'll have to try a better beach.

Cheers,

Congrats, at least you got something.

Either that or start looking for another beach to hunt, my own is just about tapped out I'd say. I know a great potential beach close by but access is difficult, will have to plan my assault carefully.
