Ancient picnic grove/field hunt with Big Digger, Bryce, and Herk:smile:

Got out with B-Rad, Bryce, and Hercules Sunday afternoon in the 70 degree weather here in IL.
B-Rad had researched and located an old picnic site and a field that dated back from the early to mid 1800's...and also obtained permission for us.

Before we started I decided to help myself to a bag of chips Bryce had stashed in his car...but wouldn't you know Hercules invited himself as well:biggrin:.

This place was a very large area to cover and signals were scarce...

After a while we moved on to the field site that dated back to the early 1800's and that is where we each made one good find.

All three of us got a good keeper but nothing else. One good find each was okay by all of us though!

Bryce said he hadn't been posting his finds here much anymore and didn't need his pic posted but trust me he got a nice keeper too...and it was a different color..

I think he had just as much fun taking pics of us hunting and we all had a great time.

B-Rad got an old large cent.

I ended up with another 2 cent piece and I'm thrilled with it...but I think my SE likes 2-centers more than it does silver...lol.

Nice finds. It's surprising how many of those two centers are found compared to how few were made. I've found two this year. That's a nice one you have there. Congrats.

Looks like you guys had a blast! Nice finds.

Nice finds Dave.........two center really looks good.............................................................................John
