And we thought the beer cap was a modern invention! The first dug trash (except the hash pipe) that I will make good use of.
Hash pipe was a joke...
Went back to the school that I found 5 mercs and other assorted goodies last year. I didn't find any silver coinage, but I did find some decent stuff and in just a small area. I realized what I'm forced to do different when I slow down in the trashy areas...My advance movement is in smaller increments thereby giving me much better coverage than I normally get hunting a clean property. I didn't cover much ground but the goodies kept appearing amongst the trash. There must be some buried cables because the Sov was going crazy in a couple spots.
The 1917 George V big head had to have been a show and tell piece or from dads collection. It looked like it was dropped last year. It was about 3 inches down and surrounded by the pieces of welding rod you see. The signal was barely discernible but it bled through. I started pulling the wires out of the hole and thought it was just another false read on a nail. I was getting more signals with the PP but decided to rescan the hold. It sung out loud and clear that time. I thought it was another sports token I often dig. The silver girls ring was about 5 inches down. Lots of trash but a very fun to hunt with the Sov now that it has a meter.
