analyist screen

I was wondering if the analyist screen has a depth limit, sorta like the sizing limit of 5 to 6 inches on the Garret Gti 2500.Is it acurate to the max detection depth of the V3 or does it have its own limit all together?I dont own a V3 but i love the idea of the analize screen. If it goes as deep as the detector can search thats gonna really increase peoples finds.Thx for any information guys.

The manual states accuracy in the analyze will drop off with depth. I find it accurate to at least six inches for sure. May be more. Time will tell.

The accuracy does vary with depth, sensitivity settings and ground conditions. Just came back from a hard two hour hunt and played with variables from TX to the three main sensitivity adjustments. I had stuff cranked pretty high and the analyze was off... but it stayed consistent as to what the target was. Took Jimmy Sierra's advice (posted on another thread here) and backed RX down, Disc. Sens. up and All Metal Sens. up just a bit. Had slightly increased depth and very little oversensitivity to a lot of ferrous trash, like the previous settings, so it turned out to be good advice. I never found much of anything but all I did was do multiple cross sections to zero in on habitation patterns and did get good info for the next times out for this site. Analyze did tame down some but was still a little skewed due to a lot of rotten iron. The good thing is that the skewing was fairly consistent and somewhat predictable. Three bar never varied from the norm though!

So much to learn but.... with the interface being so much like a desktop...it is really easy to retain. FUN!!!
