Analog vs Digital Audio Tones

Which do you prefer? Digital sounds all the same to me. I mean it's this tone or that tone. That's it and nothing more.

I'm getting where I can hear and decipher the little subtle differences in the analog audio tones.

I imagine people who have detected with analog for years can tell a lot about a target from just a single audio tone.

Like most choices, Analog vs. Digital is a give and take scenario. I just bought a White's 6000 Pro XL just for the analog audio which is great in the trash....... trash is trash and you know right away and there is no substitute for the full "round" sound of a good target and I love the modulated audio of deep targets that the digital machines can't fully duplicate. (they come close though)

BUT......... there is no turning back the advancements of the digital world and I certainly would not give up the digital for an analog for most hunting. The multi frequency CTX 3030 and the V3i is about as good as digital can get........ so far.

Larry hit it out of the ballpark with his reply. I agree 100%.
