An univited guest in the back yard...

The other day i noticed a lot of small branches on the lawn in the back yard. I knew they were probably coming from the squirrel's nest in the cedar three. In fact that nest was kind of a problem since mother squirrel kept on cutting branches to built the nest and i was wonderring if that would harm my mighty old cedar.
Well i looked up and saw thje reason the branches were all over... I guess the baby squirrel ended up in this fellow's stomack... sad story, but in a way, i guess it save my three.
The fellow stayed there all day and waited for the night to run away.

And to think i live in a medium sized town and all the garbage are protected in big wheeled plastic containers. Wonder what makes this fellow's lunch everyday ? I have a very small woody area in my back yard, but it's hardly big enauph for those animal ?

they usually don't attack live large animals like squirrels unless they are extremely hungry or rabid. Raiding birds nest's of eggs and garbage pails is more their style. Be careful of him in case he may have rabies, they are one of the primary carriers of that disease.

Looks like either a small bear or one BIG raccoon.

Kudos for not reporting it.
I really hate how all the city people move here in CT and start crying the minute they see a bear. Then the thing has to get shot out of a tree ETC ETC.
