An other hard blow on our police deparment...

This morning, a friend, a collegue was killed during a drug bust this morning. I'm about to go back to work for what will be a very long week. We have to organise an other civic ceremony, a thing we taugh we'd never do again.
15 months ago, we lost our first officer in duty in our entire department's history.
Yesterday, i was at a funeral ceremony for a collegue who took her life after being suspended for a D.U.I accident.
In fact i met Daniel yesterday at that ceremony.
Daniel was married and had two childrens.
Boy, we sure wish the dark clouds will move away from us after this!

There are certain professions that truly are due the respect of the average person and police officer is certianly one of them.

My thoughts are with his family as well as the rest of your department

I was certified in Texas and let commission go in late '05. An admirable, but dangerous profession. I never did it full time though. Was a reserve deputy for a sheriff's office. God bless your dept.

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of one of your fellow officers Martin. The debt we owe to the good men and women who 'serve and protect' is immense. Those officers who make the ultimate sacrifice in the performance of their duty, we can never fully repay.
God Bless,
BDA
