AN observation on Water detecting

DavHut

New member
I cant help but notice that the nut photos differ little from the same on land. I am a converted land hunter and the junk brought up by water hunters is about the same.

Batteries, clad, whatsis, tabs, you name it.

But the best ring I ever found was in the water. Ditto for the next best and the one below that, etc......

It seems to me that the more difficulty I have pinpointing and digging a target, the better the chance that the item sought is going to be garbage. Coins and jewelry items seem to come up in the first 3 or 4 scoops (if it was a deep target to begin with) but if it takes more scoops than that or the target seems to "move around", the better the chance that it's going to the garbage can when I go back to the car.
Just my humble observation.
