An Indian jumped right out of the ground

So I'm out learning my new MXT in my yard and hit a penny signal next to an old oak. Pull the trigger and it says 0" depth....I look under the coil in the hard packed, grass less area and find an 1886 Indian head penny looking at me....:bouncy: It's pretty well worn, and the reverse side is almost blank, but it's my oldest so far! WTH.....I know the MXT's have the coins jumping from the ground but sheesh! I just bought a Lesche digger and would like to use it!!! I also found two wheaties, "24" and "45", and about 50c in clad, all in the same area that I have used three other detectors all summer........Ace, Classic ID, and Cibola.........

How interesting. That's got to be one of the most easiest Indian cent found. Congrats! I bet you'll be going over your yard again and again. HH, Nancy

The funny thing is that I have went over this yard many times with all the detectors mentioned above, as I got them. It's funny how each machine found a little more than the last. I had never searched by that tree though, until today!

Guess that's why they say there's no such thing as a spot being "hunted out".

Here's a couple of pics. Not much to look at, pretty faded. I wonder how long it was sitting there.......

Great find. Yea, coins just have this uncontrolable desire to get up close and personal with and MXT.
