got me a few dirty coins and a nice silver ring. Took a clue from Bill(Or) and stopped off at the monster county soccer complex on my way home yesterday and the day before. Found 38 coins(no pic)on Tuesday and what's in the pic on Wednesday. Talked to one of the groundskeepers and he told me a guy lost a gold bracelet a couple weeks back and which field he lost it on. I said I don't ever hunt on the fields as I don't want to damage them and he said "Go Ahead, you can't do any more damage than they do when they have a soccer tournament". The size of this complex is monstorous. Well over 500 acres with about 50 acres in soccer fields, so far, as well as 3 baseball fields, several tennis courts and a basketball pavillion. There is also the remains of the old equestrian center that was originally on the property with all the jumps and stuff along the creek bottom.

Neat, you musta been near a school/YMCA with that basketball stem, LOL...
Great Job

You've been missing out on a bonanza bud. You can't hurt a soccer field. A lot of things are lost there including watches, rings, bracelets, etc. You need to hunt those puppies. Find out where the spectators stand or sit. Hunt around the goal posts front and back and around the edge of the field.

But afte I got out there and saw how those kids tear up the turf with their cleats. Looks like a herd of cattle packed it down. I am sure you can do it no harm.
I would be careful to stomp my plug in well!
Would hate to see a kid twist an ankle because my plug came loose.
Otherwise have a ball!!

They are a good place to hunt in the dog days of summer. The Big one I have hunted has a sprinkler system. so they keep the ground wet enough you can dig in them w/o killing grass and the clay does not bake hard as a brick. Something to think about in July & August?
