I just couldn't stand it anymore. I got my 10" coil the other day and the weather turned to crap. I wrapped the controls in a baggie and headed down the street to the school. The school was built in the 50's so it's not too old, plus I've been beating it up for 8 years everytime I get a new machine or want to test new settings etc. Well knowing the area is clean from years of hammering I set thresh. at -5, sens at 8, track off GB'd and took off through the field. Finds were good, a couple new coins, surprisingly a couple 4"-6". No silver but the take was 13 qtrs, 11 dimes, 2 memorials, 7 nickels, 2 costume rings, and a tiny silver bead the size of a BB. Surprised me that the 10" coil picked it up. Pin pointing will take some getting used to. At first I thought it was in the middle of the front web opening, the I thought it was under the rod connection, I still need to figure out exactly where it is, I hate to dig a hole bigger than I need to.
Well the weather's gonna suck for the next couple days so it's back to the wood shop.

Dirtdog
