An Eye Opening Experience

I received my 4x6 shooter coil yesterday and did some testing this morning. I was very surprised at the depth I was getting. I tweeked the sensitivity in the coin and jewelry program to RX 11
Discriminate Sensitivity 90 All metal sensitivity 65, TX boost off, Filter 10 High, Three frequencies. I could easily git a strong hit on a dime buried at 7" but what really surprised me was that I could also git a very good reading on a silver half dollar buried a 10", and this is without TX boost. I also tried TX boost on with the same settings as above and got better performance but the probe screen indicated I was loosing 48% of the signal, so I went back to TX boost off. Another thing that surprised me was with a silver dime buried at 9" I could git a half way good signal on the dime. I didnt think that the little coil could achieve this kind of depth, I was very surprised. The only thing I can think of that may have helped with the depth was the heavy rain we received last night. Good luck to all with your V3.

The wet ground helped the depth for sure, but, thanks for the results. I have the 4X6 shooter I got when I had the DFX, but, haven't tried it yet with the V3. Once the back heals enough to be able to hunt again, I'll be trying that coil, too. HH
