My wife had to go to a meeting out of town so I went along and did a few parks, dug these 35 coins and jewelry.

One thing I did tho, was at the first park. I had to wait about an hour for my wife to finish and after 10 minutes going all around the obvious places in the tot lot and finding only a few coins I decided to continue detecting there as the next park was far away. And all the surrounding grass was very newly laid. So because I stayed and did more I dug a few more coins and all but one piece of jewelry. The ear ring at top is sterling. So we shouldn't be too quick to write off places if they dont produce right away. I am as much to blame for this urgency to move on as anyone. Any one of the jewelry pieces could have been gold, steve in so az

What the next swing will produce as gold jewelry is lost everyday even though silver coins are getting tougher every year...Certainly a nice part of the hobby...
