FOLLOWING THE STAR
From the Orient three wise men were following the Star,
Travelling by Camel caravan to see Jesus from afar,
The signs of their Savior appeared in the sky,
Therefore, they knew His birth was soon nigh,
But it took them almost two years to arrive,
And see the Holy Child Who's very much alive,
After following the Star all the way there,
They gave Him gifts of precious gold, so rare;
And of Myrrh and Frankincense, sweet spicy perfumes,
Of delicate scents filling the air in the rooms,
For in an animals' stable they were no more,
Because of no room in the Inn, like before,
When the Virgin Mary gave birth to her son,
Baby Jesus, Who was also God's only, begotten One,
Who is the Messiah, born to save all sinners,
Who truly believe and obey God's Word as winners,
Of a golden crown by running life's race, continually,
Towards the prize God gives us to live eternally,
By following the Star still shining in the East,
So, at His banquet supper, we His Bride feast,
At our Bridegroom's table; oh, how happy we'll be,
Dining with our Savior and Lord very joyfully,
Knowing we finished the race and won the prize,
Of everlasting life in God's Kingdom, being godly wise,
By following the Morning Star still shining brightly today,
Guiding us Homeward, as we believe, worship and obey,
Jesus Christ, Who is God with us when He,
Was born in human flesh for setting sinners free,
And when freed from all sin by His forgiveness,
We've bowed and given our all by repentance,
In our turning around and coming out of darkness,
Following in the love of Jesus' holy brightness,
For we, as true believers, walk in the day,
And not in the night, where evil does stay,
But when we've God's Holy Spirit guiding us,
We shouldn't stray away nor disobey dear Jesus,
The Savior of lost souls to be heaven bound,
Following the Star, all Christians in the world around,
Stay on God's straight way for entering the gate,
That is narrow for our eternal blessed fate,
To forever be where our Master, Lord Jesus, is,
Who gives us His forgiving grace for only this,
Is the way we keep following the Star, daily,
For Jesus is the Eastern Star to follow faithfully,
So, won't you come and travel along with me,
As we walk with and follow Him, we'll be,
Arising to meet Jesus in the air up there,
Where He awaits His own with His loving care,
Because Jesus is the truth, the life and way,
For all who're forgiven on our Resurrection Day,
To enter the Pearly Gate of heaven, so fair,
We're to spread His good word while we're here!
