Was detecting the same house when I stumbled upon this a Sterling silver piece with my great grandfathers initials.not sure if it's diamonds on the front but when I first pulled it out I thought it was junk because it was so blinged out. Luckily my Aunt was with me and told me those were his initials and these were popular in the day. It was in a ivy infested part behind the garage where he used to plant crops.

Wow, thats really cool. amazing actually, hard to believe isnt it? great stort,

Well. Just did some more research. It isn't a pendant it's a marcasite tie clasp. No diamonds.

Finding something that belonged to your Grandfather must have been very exciting. Hope to be able to go work the grounds where my Grandparents lived when I was a child. It may be too grown up to be able to swing a coil. That is a great find.

Interesting find, your Grandmother must be watching over you. I am planing to hunt my Grandparents old home stead tomorrow and hope to find some family finds. Congrats on your find....:detecting:
