GREAT STORY. I started out 29 years ago at age 12 when I found my first arrowhead. My dad told me what it was and then it was on with. I soon discovered old bottle piles. One other thing that drives me is that I have a extraordinary fascination w/ the 19th century.

Great article as always Bill. I really enjoyed the articles you wrote in the books you sent me. Your an amazing man,and I'm proud to call you a friend. Tomorrow we start filming part of our show at Garrett's, and I look forward to Mr. Garrett showing me the first detector he ever made in 1964. Hopefully everyone will enjoy the show. I also started my online Garrett dealership today.I have the lowest prices around.Hope you check out the site.http://www.lostandhiddentreasures.com
I refuse to be outsold

Yeah bottle digging is a blast. There are a couple of guys here in Portland who get plat maps and find all the homes that were built before sewers then get permission to locate the outhouse pit in the backyards. They dig up some real nice bottles along with other good stuff. I used to do a bit of dump digging.

Bill
