Since I began using the ATPro I'm finding coins much deeper than i did with the e-trac or v3 and having difficulties bending down and staying down for a period of keeps me from hunting a long time.I recently found two items that have helped me hunt a lot longer, and save me a lot of pain when hunting.I bought a lesche shovel and this week dug out a seldom used pooper scooper i had.Now i turn over the clod and when i'm sure i have it out of the hold i use the pooper scooper and it picks it up and puts it in my hand.No more bending over. So I thought I would tell you guys that might want to try one it sure saves the knees and back.here are various scoops and they are very strong grips by the way.scoops for under 20 bucks

Will keep this in mind so far I can manage the knee bends

ok i just gotta ask, the shovel i understand, but the hand scoop im not sure about for me,but i really gotta know, how can you say the ATPRO goes deeper than the Etrac??what settings are you useing on both machines? what type of soil are you digging in?? i have both machines comming,i hunted with my friends Etrac and i was amazed at the deepth,i also used my friends Atpro and was amazed at how much theyve changed since the ace 250 i own,if you would follow up with me id appreciate it,
thanks

ROFL I was wondering how long it would take for someone to question him :starwars:

Hey i guess the Popper Scopper when used in a park it would look like you are doing a public service. Also i would have question the depth you are getting with the AT over the E-Trac or even them V3? But if works for you that's all that counts.

Your AT Pro is MUCH deeper than an E-Trac or V3? ........... Well there goes Minelab and White's out of business.

Depth? Try taking an E-Trac or V3 ten feet deep under water and they will be out of business

Seriously, it would be great not to have to get up and down over a hundred times a hunt but I wonder how much unwanted attention you will attract when you carry that much extra gear in addition to your detector. At the same time I can see the point in not having to bend to recover a target. Some days it really bothers me too like right now with that big storm coming in.

well before everybody gets excited and wants to crucify me,our soil in texas is very much different than up north or out east.on my e-trac i ran the stock coil and mainly hunt for coins so i usually set auto +3 trash high varialbilty 30 in coin mode and tried several of bill ladd's suggested patterns as well as some from the forums.with the v3 i only used factory settings as the factory techs told me they were the best that you could get.
I will not answer anymore questions about other brands in this forum but I also have a fisher F75 SE and the ATPro goes deeper than it too. That's all I'm gonna say about comparisons because others have their minds made up that a $500 detector can't possibly outperform their $1700 detectors lol

jerry the scooper is plastic and very very light not as big as that picture makes it out to be. also good for picking up limbs, cans ,leaves and snakes lol. have you ever seen a fish hook extractor? they work good too. and this one they say will pickup a pin or a brick

I took the wire handle off a 5 gal bucket & replaced it with a camera strap by dilling two holes in the top sides. This also lets you scan for your finds. I use a Garrett classifier on the bucket to sort my plugs & then dump the dirt back in the hole. I turn the bucket upside down when I need a rest, it makes a great seat.

Actually I was just having some fun with you on that one. I have not used an Etrac or V3 so have no basis for comparison. I like the At Pro and it is what it is.

Here is a really BIG DIGGER for Seniors who have trouble bending over.

HAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Funny !! So was the part about finding deeper targets with the ATpro than the Etrac !! LOL:poke:

Something to help older guys.Viagra now you won't fall over with the extra kick stand you have when you dig a coin.Pooper scooper in one hand AT PRO metal detector in other just what are you serching for. You have sold me that AT pro is a completly different kind of detector.I bet most of your finds are surface finds.Sorry I could not resist I know a lady that was turned in at state park for using a metal detector when they seacherd her she had a take down pooper scooper.

This looks like a good idea. It is difficult to tell from the picture, but it appears to me that the part of the device that would interface with my posterior is an order of magnitude too small.

Thanks,
Johnn Morton

John I am not going to try to sit on it. I am going to use the seat to help me get up. Besides my posterior is mostly lead. Way too heavy... Happy Trails....Z
