My house was built in 1940 and it's great training to detect the yard because it's full of trash, but I've not found so much as a wheat penny in it - just some clad from amidst the trash. A few days ago I was practicing with my new Excalibur and I got an interesting, non-trash signal. Just for fun I got out my MXT which reported a VDI in the silver dollar range. I found the target about 5" down, and as it came out of the hole I initially thought I had finally found some silver. Nope:

Oh, well, maybe my next target will be silver, and in the mean time it's an interesting find.
