Been reading a lot about the history of your country

Anyone ever found where a paddle steamer went down, evidence of an indian attack (I don't blame them), evidence of a wild west robbery or gun fight or anything like that?

There was some civil war history in a town i know, several skirmishes and such.
Use to be an old old barn type building that supposedly some people holed up in.
they tried to get them out, and the old building was full of holes from gun shots.
In later years they tore it down and built some houses in the location!

Fascinating thanks, Bob! From my reading of this and other forums, it appears that american councils are not interested in history, just in monetary values

Amazon.com is selling a book on sunken steamboats :

The Steamboat Arabia Museum, is in the River Market area of Kansas City, Mo. If you are in KC , and have time to go, it has displays of the various items recovered. I really enjoyed viewing the finds, as well as what processes it took to recover and preserve many of them.....HH
