Amazing what you can find in old fields metal detecting!!:spin:

Hi fellow treasure hunters!! Took our detectors last weekend, slapped the big coils on them, and hit the wide open colonial fields --> WOW! So worth it!
Thank you all for watching!! (none of the videos are monetized, so no ads)...

Thank you so much Mud!! We sure try to have a lot of fun making the clips...the excitement comes naturally as I think there is nothing better than touching something I just unearthed and feeling that history come alive....can't wait for the weekend! Thank you so much for watching!!

Slingers, I see you guys aren't having much luck finding old Aluminum Beer cans. The field near where I live (Pa.) has a great history of beer drinking. I have unearthed alcohol & Vintage oil cans aplenty. The oldest have only the tops & bottoms left fore the can itself was tin, long since disintegrated. I'm very fortunate that I don't have to waste time digging old coins, relics & such. Sometimes I never even make it into the field, cause some nice people have piled the cans along the road. I'm not going to crow about my good luck, but I do very well on recycling day.

Hey, seriously you guys keep up the great videos. Lol

LOL!!!!!!!!!!! That was a fun post to read first thing Friday morning....beer cans are my nemesis too (particularly the Budweiser variety tends to populate the beautiful fields and woods; I think they travel in herds!)...I learned to discriminate them on my VX3 and now (luckily) ever dig one, unless it's very squished and deep. Phew! More for you to dig - who needs the old stuff anyway!

Happy almost weekend!!
