amazing v3

I was able to borrow a whites V3 and did a little detecting. I tried it out for about 30mins...just

able to know what I was doing. I thought...these are nice colors and bells and whistles but just

about the average well built detector. Maybe or maybe not as good as my xlt or minelab SE & others.

After I got the hang of the analyzation and features(thanks to whites videos)I was pleasantly

suprised! What a little bit of learning makes. As a matter of fact...I was amazed! Argueably, a deep detector but thats not the key

point. Its the analyzation! I detected about 200 good signals...I analyzed every one and then dug

it up. It was accurate about 98 percent of the time. I got fooled on a very old bottle cap and

part of old metal can but the rest of the signals...I KNEW what it was in the ground before I dug it up. Im

talking foil, bottle caps, pull tabs, rings, coins(even the difference between zinc pennies and

copper ones). That is the amazing part and will save me alot of digging. I really do like the

minelab SE but the V3 is far better by telling me whats in the ground. I actually was smiling and

laughing, having fun because this was amazing technology. The learning curve is also far less than

minelab and gives you more info. There are 3 different ways to analyze your target and by doing them

one at a time...it gives you specific clues to what your target is.

Whites is... the absolute best for customer service in the industry and with this detector...I think

they have the best all around dectector made! It is unbeliveable. Processor is super fast with

nice graphics and lots of options...if you require them. I dont think I will keep my other

detectors after trying the V3. Its that good.

I walked out with 4 rings, 1 pendant, 1 charm and 35 coins that I didnt think existed as I have been

over this lot about 20 times with different detectors and I thought I would give up on this

location, as there would be very little left. I was wrong and very happy to be so.

I would happy to hear of any other views on this subject. Agree or disagree.

fred,

when I can...I will do so

thanks

I would ,,,,but I just hope I dont dig them up too..

I have used my v3 for one month November 2009 in a park that I thought was played out. The first month I found 458 quarters, 528 dimes,80 nickels and only 70 pennies by choise. I went to the same park Monday, March 8 2010 and came away with 31 quarters, 26 dimes,i nickeland 19 pennies. This park is one of the most trashy I have hunted. The high trash program makes it like it was undetected.

I've also started getting more use from my V3 as the frost has left the ground, and although I'm still learning to get the best results I can out of it. I have not been disappointed yet. It really does turn up stuff in "hunted" out sites that makes it that much more fun. So far it has been a nickel magnet, a wheatie magnet, and picked up a little jewelry. I'm still anticipating that first silver coin with the V3, it's just a matter of time. But it has opened up another opportunity for my son's to get involved in the hobby, with my old 6000 di/pro - which is also a great machine. (oh yeah and a lot of clad dimes, quarters, etc) I really like the D2 coil, and have been toying with the 5.3 coil more, using the smaller coil for me is like trying a new fishing lure, you're not convinced it works until you use it, and catch/find something with it. (the 5.3 is really great for super trashy parks)

Your making us drool with envy guys,For us poor folks that can't afford one! i will just have to give my xlt a xtra hug tonight.NICE POST!:clapping:

Well....I did enough talking about it......so I got my V3 today........look out here I come!

Fred,

I like to hunt about 2-3 times a week and find about 50-75 coins on every trip. Yes, since I started about 5 months ago....yikes dug probably 4000 holes. The chipmunk hates me.
