~AMAZING 1854 Half Dime..1st one in 5 years!!~

What a great weekend! Yesterday I hit curbs a bit, got only wheats, then knocked doors at an old house, managed to get 2 indians 1865 and 1896, then got a real wierd signal 01-37 but hit solid all the way a round, it was a 1902 barber dime, cool. Totally unexpected.

Today I started at 8am at an old park in a town I have never been too, got a few wheats, two toasted indians 1889, and 1900, a silver war nickel, and tons of clad. We stayed there about 3 hours, wanted to give people time to wake up before we started door knocking. First house we knocked at, got a yes, only got 2 wheats and a nice 1935 buffalo.

House #2 I got a 1916 merc...NO "D" lol..then I got the 1902 barber quarter, and a couple wheats. From there we knocked at one last house and I got a couple wheats again and a bit more clad, then I got a nice deep 12-39 classic wheat penny signal and I found a small silver disk, I thought for sure it was another play coin, I have found so many....but NOPE, it was a 1854 half dime is amazing shape! FINALLY after 5 yrs detecting I got my very first half dime! woooHOOOOOO!!!

WTG Terry on ur FIRST Half Dime and it sure is a purty one too.

It took me almost 7 years before I found my first Half Dime and boy what a thrill it was.

P.S. I like how you say "silver war nickel"

Big congrats on your first 1/2 dime. They are really exciting to find and difficult to pinpoint. Only found 1 myself and it is one of my favorite coins.

Awesome couple of days! The half dime is in really good condition. Good job!

Tony at first I thought it was one of those aluminum play coins, so I wiped it with my finger, and I almost fell over when I saw the seated lady!!!!

That is great! Congrats,
