AM Low Hunt- 1st Ring of '08

OK, it's not much to look at, but I haven't been out much this year and I don't find many rings. Hopefully it won't be my last for '08.

Hit the AM low and hunted for about 2 hours. Beach was exposed with lots of sand movement; rocks showing everywhere. Total take = clad, a wheatie, 1902 IH, 1942 Silver War Nickel, 2 Musketballs, and 1 slightly bent silver ring (missing stone) that has been down a while.

Thanks for looking.

James send me a PM if you can?? I was wondering where you were!! I have hunted every day this week...got a nice 18k ring yesterday...few silver coins too!! I am at work till 11pm I'll call if I can.

The ring is still a ring , better than some of us as far as rings go this year.Keep up the good work gold is on the way.Nice load of clad you got. HH

Especially when you're picking out some old coins along with it - always a good sign!

Supposedly a possibly bigger storm coming in Friday sometime - high winds and rain, so Saturday may be a good day - despite the tide not being optimal.

Things started out slow for me this year, but February has really picked up. Quite a few older silver coins and a half a dozen pieces of gold jewelry 10-18K. More gold jewelry than silver so far which is a pleasant surprise.

As BH mentioned to me a year or more ago, the more you hunt NE beaches, the better you get at locating hot spots and I've had very good lately. Hoping for an enjoyable and profitable spring and summer - gonna give gold prospecting a try this spring as well hopefully.

See you out there this spring I'm sure - best of luck
