plug any headphones other than the supplied ones in the detector? I have without sucess tried Garrett,GG,Blk Widows,Depthmaster and some I don't have a clue to who's they are in the detector. In some cases they don't shut off the detectors speaker, even with the mono plug! In some cases they shut everthing off.In some cases they shut the speaker but I can't hear though the headphones.

Judging by the list of the headphones you've tried, you haven't tried the Sun Ray Pro Gold? I use a pair of Sun Ray with the wireless module and they work perfectly. They will not shut off the detector speaker when plugged directly into the detector.

How about Killer Bees? Will they go directly into the detector with shouting off the speaker?

Killer B's won't shut off the external speaker (at least my Wasps don't). Your best bet is to get yours modified or buy a new pair from a dealer who is modifying them.
