I am always amazed when I scan the BH forum and see what stuff the BH machines can find!
I think all those people who put Bounty Hunter down as junk should come to this forum and see that people are finding.
While I have seen some poor BH machines sold at WalMart, most of the BH machines I have seen here seem
to do what their owners want: FIND STUFF:clapping: I suppose some of the cheapo's I've seen at WlaMart do to.
Congrats to everyone on their finds!:clapping:

The biggest problem with Machines bought at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, etc. is the fact that they sit around for a while...Sometimes in a warehouse, sometimes just on a sales floor...You never know what they have been exposed to (temp changes, people opening boxes, etc.)...This probably leads to a lot of machine failures from these sources...

hi everyone, the 200 dollar special pioneer 202/qd2 i got at walmart has done me very well. i'm sure there are cases of people buying them from there and they turn out to be defective, no truer said, bh landstar! fully a third of everything i've posted on here and other forums were found with the 202. i was hunting near a fellow who had a nautilus 2b, a real snob, who made the comment to me that i was detecting with a toy. i laughed in his face, said,"ya think so?' then proceeded to smoke him and his machine! found twice as much as he did. his face grew red, stomped off to his car, threw the machine in the back seat, and sped off. now he can go home and tell his wife he got spanked by a toy! haha! imagine that! i've owned many different machines over the years, so i've got a pretty good idea of what's going on. i've always felt it's more about how well you know your machine and what beeps you choose to dig that determine what kind of a hunter, and how successful you will be. a thousand dollar machine is practically useless in a beginner's hands, whereas, a cheap machine in a seasoned hunter's hands will overcome the expensive machine in no time flat. i really like my 202, i understand it's language and what it tells me. i'm really proud of bounty hunter; they are certainly turning heads and making great finds. i've made believers out of many myself. hh,

i've always said, "I will hold my own or smoke ya with my Land Star." I think that as long as you know your detector, you could hunt with a stick as long as your successful...

mine is an outdated BH called The Outback i paid 99 for it on sale at Big 5...it found me the 14k necklace and pendant that lost treasure is putting into thier online news letter. not too mention a silver earring and lots of change. and i am only 2 months into the hobby. BH rocks....:yo:

I'm not really sure why it would be so amazing for a BH to produce quality finds. By design all metal detectors detect metal, hence the name. If my detector made me breakfast, that would be amazing!!
I wouldn't say my BH Titan can make me breakfast but it sure has bought me breakfast.
congrats on missing my point titan.......

Good man! Without humor the world would be a sorry place!

Here's some humor for you:

 i love it. i want a copy of that one. i was watching spongebob with my kids the other day and he was metal detecting the beach. thought that was cool. he had the headphones on and everything.

Well said Grayghost. And I'm yet to be disappointed in my Land Star, as well.
FT is still a great company in my book!
