Always amazed at the MXT!!!!!

Since I bought the Ace 250 I have been out constantly at three favorite soccer/foot ball fields and
park areas. I've taken out a lot of clad with the Ace 250. Today, Sunday, I went to one of the
soccer fields before it started to fill up with people just getting out of church with their kids. I
took the MXT today and used my 5.3 coil. I just can't believe all the stuff I missed with the Ace250!
I'll have to go back in a couple of days when I have more time to spend. Dug up about 2.70 in clad
and some trinkets.

Following some advice from another MXT owner, I ground balanced it, locked it in and put it in relic mode
switching over to coin and jewelery from time to time to check things out. I set the sensitivity
to +3 sometimes reducing it to 9 when I got a hot rock signal. My only problem was when
I got close to some high tension lines and then the MXT chattered away. I reduced the sensitivity
from 9 backing off until the chattering stopped.

Of course I'll keep the Ace 250 but I think I'm going to have to give more attention to the MXT from
now on.

The high tension effects most detectors. I use the relic mode ( trigger centered) most of the time. I've been running the 6x10 DD and have no problem running the + numbers most of the time. According to Jeff the 6x10 really works great against EMI interference with the MXT. I've hunted with my pardner again today, I won't mention his detector. At the first stop he ended up with a dime and penny, I had twenty coins. At the second stop he had 60 cents, I had 13 quarters and a pile of change. Good luck. Rob

I can't imagine a better all-around detector!!

I like my Ace250 also, but when it comes to serious detecting I pull out the M6!
I found lots a jewelry with my Ace but only once a silver quarter.

When I first got my M6 I went to a park where I've taken my Ace many times to detect.
I went there just to get the hang of my M6 and was shocked at the depth difference and
equally pleased when I found a 1917 half dollar at 6 inches. My best coin find so far.

I also found that most of the coins the Ace sniffs out can be pinpointed with my Bullseye
before I even start probing for the coin. Not the case with my M6.

I wish my M6 had the same notch system the Ace 250 has. That's a
great feature on the Ace250.

Well the notching might be useful if you only hunted coins. If I notched out junk I'd also be notching out all my gold. I never notch out the tabs. When they sound off I can choose not to dig them if I'm lazy that day. By the way, I said I hunt in the relic mode a lot. This is with the trigger centered. The threshold is much smoother and the detector doesn't chatter whenit is laying on the ground when I'm digging. Rob

A couple more times with the MXT and your 250 will be back up toast.

Yeah, I spent a few years on the uphill end of a Fisher CZ-70 Pro, but I always grab my MXT these days. My CZ-70 is a great detector and well suited for coin hunting especially, but I have really bonded with my MXT. The powerful circuitry and VDI display are the right combination for me.
