This small cross was also found at the Historic (Fur Trade Era) Indian site by my detecting partner. Any Ideas??
 
Since you found a Jesuit ring there, it's probably related to their missionary work in the area, although it could have belonged to anyone of the Catholic faith. There's a practically identical 18th century crucifix on p. 96 of Neumann & Kravic's <EM>
