Alright! Adams Success leads to My Success

So Adam's post this morning got me all wired up to do some hunting this morning. And I have a new meter for my GT and haven't taken it out yet since I got it several weeks ago. On the field I calibrated a quarter to 180 like the forum said. I had to recalibrate the meter a few times also. I kept turning the knob by accident somehow. Didn't someone else have the same problem awhile back? Fixed it with a O-ring?
Well the time was fast approaching to leave this park in a neighborhood built in the fifties so I went to silent search and auto. A few minutes later I got a faint signal with a steady reading of 179/180. Ah....a deep quarter I figured. Much to my pleasant surprise I unearthed a 1942-s merc! Wow! Only 29+ million of these babies made!
Sorry-no picture.

well done, glad my post got you inspired. a merc is good find too bad it wasnt a 1916 D the mintage was a tad less on them . ...But hell silver is silver .
