I found an old goldminers trail above the North fork of the Kern River and hiked it up to a flat area that looked like at some time there may have been a goldminers tent camp or temporary shack or maybe even a small one room house. I didnt see any evidence i just got a feeling so i started detecting and immediately found a few crimps of some sort and then in the same 4 ft x 4ft area i found the buckles and a donkey shoe. I found one horseshoe up in a tree and the other on a trail along the ridge. Are these buckles or crimps familiar to anybody? I am really curious about them.
