Along New England... Railroad Bridge and Cut Out..

Here is a Railroad Bridge, I travel over daily, located in Beverly Ma. in a section called Goats Hill. I captured these photo's due to the snow, highlighting the depth and cut through solid rock between the Railroad Bridge going over the harbor, and to Beverly RR Station. In the Second photo, you are looking North into the Cut, towards Beverly Depot and the Road Bridge. In the Third, South to the Railroad Bridge over the Harbor, and the forth, towards Beverly Depot again. As a Kid, I used to see the old Steam locomotives going through here. Then the Bud Liners came along, no more coal burners.... So sad.. good things fade away... Memories do not though!

Like you, I miss seeing the old steam locomotives. Did you ever hike along these tracks when you were a boy? Thanks for posting the pictures and story, enjoyed them. Kelley (Texas) :)
