Almost!

As I am starting to get strength back in my legs I went out for a couple of hours yesterday. The SE is running pretty smooth in semi-auto at 26. I hit an old farm field and ended up with a couple of Jefferson nickels a few wheats and a well worn mercury dime. The last hit of the day was loud and the cursor on the smart find pegged in the upper left corner. Dug down about 8-10 inches and thought I found my first large cent! Got it home and rinsed it off and it was a Red Goose good luck charm. Rats! Non the less it was a neat find. Going to hit a fairgrounds today for a couple of hours. Hope the grass isn't too tall and there may be a coin or two left!!

It will take a while to get the muscles built up so would advise short trips and make them longer as they build up...Not having been out for months two hours and my legs really were sore from the other night.I still feel manual is the way to go with sensitivity but whatever works. A large coin such as a half or large cent would probably hit on the right upper but lower than a silver coin..Congrats on a nice day out and just love tokens...

Thanks fellas! Yes...It was upper right hand corner. I am still playing with the SE so at this time I will use semi-auto. It was very stable and very little falsing. Dan...Two years ago this coming June I had a massive brain hemorrhage. Can't believe it is taking this long to get a full recovery!

Congratulations Ted on the recoveries! Your health and the silver coin! Tewrrific!

I like the semi auto too - more stable and quiet.

It was getting pretty dry to dig so I took some time off. I just know there are some silver coins out there waiting for me!
