The lack of gas money has been keeping me on a short leash lately so I visited one of our local parks for a few hours last Monday. My F5 didn

Yep...almost...right tone and look..I hear you about the gas, heck, even pulling 20 bucks per day in clad a fellow dont break even..I believe I'll be really hunting gold this year, just telling myself to focus on it a lot harder. Even a little 2gr 14k is worth @60 bucks, and you know theres a lot of them out there hidden in the foil signals..would be nice to find at least one gold per week this year, just to keep the vehicle fueled up..thats the plan right now anyway. Good Luck!

Not only did you come close with the gold, but any one of those Wheaties could have been a silver dime! I've NEVER found a place where after a number of them turn up I don't find a silver (SILVER) dime.
So, if you can get Wheaties out of that park even somewhat regularly then silver dimes are there and that puts that place on the hunting list of locations, not to so its at the top of the list, but on a day where you find you have some time and no planned place to go then it is a GOOD place.

And as long as its available you can go back and change your hunting style, or use a different detector and always find more good stuff.

Mark is right if you are getting wheat's there is still some siver to be taken. Keep working that location, the silver will come.

Thanks all for the encouragement. I'm definitely in agreement with every-ones line of thought. Back in the day when I was a "Yute" the common coin finds were almost always wheat's, a few IH's and silver. Today pulling a wheat now and then seems like a big deal. Well almost.:detecting:

WV & Mark are right, if you got wheaties there's silver, slow down keep a tight overlap sweep and it will come. Also look for the area that are not the main people area, try the out of the way areas, tree line borders , far off fence line, everyone hits the tot-lot, swings, slides, baseball diamonds, think outside the box,you might just get a surprize.
