I posted a while back in here and then disappeared for a long time, but detecting was always on my mind so I finally made the leap and picked up a detector...Tesoro Compadre with the 5.75" coil....I heard they were really good units for the money. Waiting for it to be delivered...hopefully soon!

Last September my wife and kids (2x 2yo and 1x 1yo) moved into a farm house built in 1878....the last couple lived here for 40 years and it was in the same family for the time before that! I've got 4 acres of old farm property and I'm really looking forward to seeing what comes up! I opted for the 5.75" coil instead of 8 because I assume there will be lots of junk too...

Look forward to sharing the results with you all!
 
Welcome back to the forum and good luck with the new Tesoro. Four acres will keep you busy for quite a while Greg and looking forward to seeing what you find.

thanks! sadly the detector was not delivered in time for the weekend :(
The headphone will be delivered Saturday though....so I can stand out in a field with the headphones on and hope for the best until the actual detector arrives!


guess I will have to wait a little longer now.....
