Showed 07 27 on my se so I thought screw cap. Dug anyway, glad I did. Dont know what kind of stone it is, or what kind of metal holds the stone. copper or gold ? I'm guessing time period of this piece late 1800's considering the cut of the stone. Anybody have Ideas as to what kind of stone it is or it's age?
 
It is either Gold Plated or Gold Filled, one or the other. Gold wouldn't register that high on the Explorer. Class Rings register around 25 Conduct. That's the highest I have ever seen a Gold Ring or Item register. Nice Find though! Good Luck and HH.:detecting:
 
no magnet does not grab it, I'm thinking copper also
