Low tide was at mid-afternoon; had a pleasant detecting afternoon with two very good friends.

By 3 PM it got warm enough to remove my hat and gloves ...Spring is just "around the corner", I'd say

Hunted troughs and mud....found the 14K in the mud.....at perimeter of a trough....not deep..just one scoop

Also found the 1800's vintage beer jug the other day ...just sitting by a rock at the shore's edge...in the process of researching this item

Here's some pics

Real Estate to establish a Brewery in New Haven , Ct

His petition was granted in Oct. 1816.

I am going to research this further tomorrow..I want to know where in New Haven this brewery was ....and I want to see what remains of it.

New Haven had several successful breweries in the 1800's..many owned and operated by German immigrants

The "dry spell" caused the demise of almost all of them by the end of the 1800's

I was very pleased to recover this part of New Haven History at the shoreline.
