After a couple of setbacks it appears I will be getting my grubby hands on MY Sovereign sooner than expected. I have a question...Can you use wireless headphones on a Sovereign? I would imagine so but, I don't know for sure.

Congradulations on getting your Sovereign! Yes, you can use wireless headphones, but you have to be careful with which ones you buy as some have a delay or don't work as well. Ism has done extensive testing I think on various ones he's bought, so I'm sure he'll chime in with what pair works well.

I use the TDK WR700's. They have a very slight delay but is a non issue on the Sov since the sweep speed is slower. The trade-off for the privelage of having wireless is worth it to me. The TDK's have an auto shut off if they do not hear any audio after 3 minutes so its no good for silent search. From what I've read, the wireless microphone and guitar units are the best as there is no delay but they cost big bucks. The Auvio wireless (do a search for the number) are so far the forum favorite but they also sport a slight delay like the WR700. In addition they are discontinued so finding them is difficult. The fastest bluetooth has about a .3-.5 sec delay and are a pain in the a$$ to use in a trashy area but field or beach hunting the delay is tolorable. If they ever get them down to .1sec or better I would recommend bluetooth because it has the best options for headset and transmit dongle. There is a lot of info on wireless if you search Finds Forums but don't trust anybody that says A2DT Bluetooth has no delay....it simply isnt true. While it can be used for TV watching it just doesn't work for detectors.
