Almost 9 years with the same DeLeon and it still amazes me!:cam:

I bought my DeLeon right after they came out in 2003 and it still surprises me at how deep it will go and how many great finds it has given me. I hunt mostly on land I have tried creeks and lake shores but have yet to find any rings there. I am up to just under 100 rings and half are gold that's around 10 a year which isn't bad if I say so myself my best year I found 25 rings and well over 400.00 in clad. I have found many silver coins one a Franklin half at well over 10"s deep. This year I am already up to 7 rings 3 gold 4 silver but my best find was Monday when I found 3 Indian head pennies along with 2 wheat's stacked together. I read here all the time about how the DeLeon is not as good as other TID machines and I smile because if there were more people using the DeLeon there would be alot less for me to find! Tesoro DeLeon made in America by Americans with the best warranty and support out there! In 9 years my machine has only been back to the factory once and that was to replace a very worn out hand grip when I got it back it was as good as new they tuned it up and did other small things to it like replace battery doors and reseal the coil just shows how much they care about their product. I know it is the only brand I will ever own and anybody that asks it is the one I recommend even when I worked at a place that sold Minelab I mentioned Tesoro to my customers. Sorry I got long winded there but people want to hear about the DeLeon and I have not seen many talking about it. Anyway here are some pics of some of the meager finds by the DeLeon

It sure sounds like a winner to me! I would love to try one out, but also want to try a Vaquero, an Outlaw, Lobo ST, Tejon....you see where this is going right?

Of course it doesn't hurt to have a top notch TID like the Deleon. Thank you for the very nice post and great pics..

WOW! You have really found some good items with your Deleon! It is an awesome unit in the right hands as you so well prove, Beale.

phinbolt,

You and your Deleon are a great team, it goes without saying, the better you know your detector, and take it to the right location, great finds will follow:tesoro:

Yes, yes.....quite a nice collection of tasty finds. Phinbolt, the pennies look in fantastic condition. Are they coming out of the ground that way? If your cleaning them, what are you using to do that? Thanks.

The minelabs is a bit overrated. My Quattro tests deeper in the garden under perfect conditions, but in actual practice the Quattro is easily fooled by nails and is complicated by slow sweep and really too much to think about before deciding to dig. The Deleon has a sound that Tesoro owners all know well, you don't think about it, you dig. I like when I dig up a coin and a nail in the same hole without digging nails by themselves. Before I reach for the Quattro I must remind myself: keep it simple stupid. Then I pick up the Deleon! Good post!

WOW!!!! That's what it's all about.
