Allen, what is the best value of the bags offered from Spokane Bar Sapphire Mine

DOC

New member
You know what I am talking about, they offer the El Dorado, and the Monster Mine, and all of these different things, which would you recommend?

I got back my faceted sapphires from that bag of gravel you sent me, and I am hooked! I loved looking through the gravel, and what a kick it was to see the gems all pretty and shiney.

I got over 7 carats of sapphires. And three garnets that totaled 1.13 carats.

I don't know how good that is an an average, but I sure had a blast sorting through that gravel!

Thanks again!

They sure look like fun....
Any chance of getting a couple over to Aus Doc? What price are they???
My wife loves the shiney things (as most girls do) and I would live to get one so she can find some in the bag!
Cheers

you have way too many distractions !

In fact I'm thinking if you get divorced you would have more time for coil making ! :look:

I'll wait to see what Allen tells me to get and then I will send you a box of rocks. Considering that our postal rates are so cheap here in the U.S. it should only cost you 5 or 6 thousand dollars for a bunch of rocks !

Here's an idea ! I can pick out the sapphires here, send you the sapphires and you remix it with dirt and gravel over there and let your wife have at it ! You don't have to tell her the dirt is Aussie dirt !

Take care!

Now that is a great idea. :D

I'm not to sure about the Spokane Bar bags as I have not been there in quit a few years and don't know the difference in their bags cost wise or pound wise. This site says that there is a place in AZ that sells their dirt.

Spokane Bare site
http://www.sapphiremine.com/

The place that I usually go to is Gem Mountain
http://www.gemmtn.com/

The place that I got your bag that I sent you was from the Sapphire Gallery in Phillipsburg
http://www.sapphiregallery.com/

The sapphires that come from the Missouri River area (Spokane Bar) are usually bigger in size and not as many colors as Gem Mountain area.
The gem mountain area has more colors but not as large a stones as Missouri River stuff.
The last big one I got from Gem Mountain cut to a 3.23 emerald cut and I traded it for $2000.00 off on some property in ID. The next time I get to Helena I will make a run to Spokane Bar and check a bag or 2 from them.
For the most part the regular bags, run $25.00 + Shipping
Sorry I can't be more specific to your question.
Here is group totalling 183.28 cts waiting to be cut.
hope this helps

I'm glad you liked them - they did come out real nice.

If you can post a picture so everyone can see them.

I sent you a response to your PM.

Had a chance to meet up with Allen this year at Gem Mountain. My wife, daughter and I had so much fun. I got my wife hooked a couple of years ago and we always look forward to going back. Great to meet you again Allen. See you next year at Gem Mountain.
