I have an AT Pro but frankly I wish I had bought a Ace 350. As far as I am concerned, my detector is just a $650 noise maker.

The Ace 150, 250 & 350 are fixed ground balance detectors. The AT Pro has an adjustable ground balance and if not adjusted right will make the detector a little unstable and noisy. I have seen a lot of guys go from a fixed ground balance detector to an adjustable ground balance unit and say the detector was noisy or unstable due to not having it balanced correctly. This may be the reason you say its just a $650.00 noise maker over the Ace 350. Detectors with an adjustable ground balance normally out perform a fixed balance unit due to being able to fine tune the ground balance of the detector but you have to make sure its done right or redo it when the ground changes dramatically to keep your performance in the sweet spot.
