Is it time to fire up a PI unit?
The other guys have found some gold over time...
Since we all seem to have Excals where I live does the edge go to:
who gets there earlier
who goes more frequently
who ventures deeper into the water (they worked in less than ankle depth today) but that 10" coil is tough in the rough
who uses the better technique (they were swinging really wide and fast)
who is "tuned" better - the difference in hearing targets with sensitivity set at around 10-11 o'clock vs. 2 o'clock was dramatic
who is hunting pinpoint vs disc (i am finding targets at least 3-4" or sometimes a full scoop deeper using pinpoint vs disc
who can ascertain the targets better and dig less frequently
Can anyone add some more points or do we need to bring in the PI unit and a bulldozer?
Oh yeah - for today (3.5 hours around low tide): 5 quarters, 1 nickle, 4 pennies and the usual pull tab and small rusted nail suspects - 5 hunts, 18 hours, no gold yet tho I'm still in training....
