All of my Old Nickels for the 2012 season

My buffalo and V nickel counts were down from last year, but I smashed my count this yr on Shield nickels which makes me happy, got 9 shield nickels this year, thanks to all those old field sites once again!!!!!

Those are nice! Old nickels are great. I wished they held up better in the soil, I like how you clean them up, it brings the life back into them. Congrats on finding so many Shields this year!

wow, a friend just sent me a link from a page from facebook and several people on there was saying I was full of @#$! and they doubted my finds, they said NO way these nickels were dug! can you believe that???? why would someone think I would "fake" common date nickels? And the bad things is...the guy who started the post, I have considered an online friend for 5 yrs. Wow, kinda feel crappy about this.......makes me think is posting my finds is even worth it

Haters, there is always going to be someone to cause some DRAMA. I think this a measure of how good of a year you had by their jealous post. It's sad that folks are that low about themselves that they try to bring other folks down. You are a huge help to people on these website forums and your own. Your finds are just proof of all your time in research and time in the fields and on old homesites, and that is how this hobby works. Like Mark in S.E. IA said don't sweat it, and keep posting so we can see how G4E does things. I can't wait to see your year end Silver and Injuns! Keep them post coming!

thanks guys, your true friends....I am just stunned at how some people can be so hateful of me?? what have I ever done to anyone, I would do anything to help people out I don't care if they are a newbie or someone who has hunted for 30 yrs. I enjoy helping people, one of the main reasons I spent countless hours building my website to help etrac users.

No worries, I will brush this off and just have to understand people like this who accuse me of posting fake finds are just foolish, if I am gonna fake something it sure wouldn't be common date nickels!

This happens in almost every pursuit oriented sport...some are just really good at it, through dedication, location, or just 'luck" but others question the veracity of their skills, instead of trying to excel themselves...dont sweat it, just try to double up! I really try to pattern my own styles and skills after what you excellent hunters do, it has a value here to US that want to learn and get better! Oh, and dont let what others think about you affect the way you think about yourself!

I remember a few years ago, you had just started detecting and bought an XTERRA and were ready to wrap it around a phone pole. I recall you asking all the right questions, and really paying your dues getting out there every day and learning your machine inside and out. You have been kicking butt every since and have definately EARNED every one of those good digs! Keep the pics and stories coming and don't sweat the envious comments. Congrats old friend!
