Welcome Folks!
This is a treasure hunt based on the following: In April 1962, the Parkerville City Park Department built a 10' x 15'
wooden snack shack in the center of the Parkerville City Park. This was a full two years before Charles Garrett
introduced his first metal detector. This snack shack survived the decades of use and abuse until this afternoon
when it was struck by a funnel cloud and disappeared over the Bottomless River heading in the direction of Kansas.
Luckily, the clerk, Dorothy, was in an adjacent porta potty resolving issues that cropped up due to an abundance
of grease in the popcorn, and was uninjured. Her puppy Toto is missing however and there is a $50.00 reward for her.
Meanwhile, I have roped off the site of the snack shack with yellow police tape and have laid out a grid pattern with
golf tee's and kite string, consisting of 150 12" x 12" squares numbered 1 through 150, starting at the North East
corner of the remaining dirt patch. Anyone on this fine site, desirous of doing so, may guess a number once daily
between one and one hundred and fifty. I will then take my Ace 250, complete with sniper coil, and work said square,
removing all targets. Trash targets will be identified to you in this thread. However, real monetary targets will be mailed
to you at the completion of this contest. If you score a real target, I will tell you so in the thread so that you can forward
your address to me via a private message. At the completion of the game, all prizes will be mailed the same day. You
may very well win multiple targets during the course of the game. There may be pocket spills, silver, gold and whatzits
in this location. It is completely virgin. All targets are expected to predate clad coins and some of the coins found by
detectorists in the surrounding area have been of exceptional quality. There is no charge to play the game or to get
your prizes. However, do not enter if you are uncomfortable sharing your address. I will request the address of all
winners via private message and mail them all at the conclusion of the contest. Happy Hunting Folks! Warm regards,
Jim
