well if I am in bark chips I use jewely mode, but when over grass I use coin mode. Now every now and then I go to the park and dig every signal in jewelry mode, but I always get can slaw, pull tabs.....lol

luckily everything I found here was found in coin mode, most all rings have rang as penny, bouncing to pull tab. The silvers were dime/penny/pulltab type signals.

if something is 4-6 inches deep in a yard and bouncing around I normally dig it. I mostly hunt older home yards.

oh and BTW I use the stock coil mostly. Cannot remember the last time I used my sniper coil...lol
