Is the only way to get the DFX into all metal mode throught adjusting the block edit -95 thru +95?

Just pull the trigger and let er Rip..............

Under Basic Adjustments in any program, turn Audio Disc. OFF. You will be in all metal mode.

Hi KRS:...To get keepers, especially deeper coins, without iron masking them out, use less discrimination. The two below posts show two good ways to get AM modes. However, those two tend to give only single tones with the attendant loss of target information. There is another way and still be able to use tone ID for all it's information content. By rejecting VDI's from - 95 to-93, and accepting all else, you then have an extremely quiet running AM mode. Accepting -93 would then cause foot prints and changing mineralization to sound off with lots of false signals. Rejecting down to -91 would also cause more falsing on ground miner all and ESI. So the quietest and best operation sweet spot seems to be with accepting only from -92 to +95. I hope this may be of help with thoughts of all metal operation......How.

All Metal Mode is better described as Non-Motion Mode. With the trigger squeezed or in the forward position, you are in Non-motion mode with the pinpoint screen display. If you wanted to hunt in the Non-Motion mode, it would be better to turn off Audio Discrimination and you will have the Live Search Screen giving you the signagraph and VDI readings, icons too, if you use them.
