All Metal Rlic Hunt With My F 75

Hi, all:

I'm pretty much doing all my relic hunting in all metal, unless the site is extra junky. Then I go 6 disc, monotone. Today was an all metal day with sens. set at 90. Had a good day with finds from surface, all the way down to 10 inches deep. Found four shell frags, two pieces of cannister (one iron ball from a six pound cannon and a lead ball from a James shell), along with a nice pile of round balls. No three ringers, which is unusual. The best bullet was a first of it's kind for me.Just below the cannister is an M&M #81. A 44 cal. Colt Dragoon-early type. The only piece of brass was a tent grommet. Love the F 75 for deep relic hunting. It's the deepest I've found for my ground here in Missouri.

Thanks for looking, and keep on diggin'

You had a very good hunt! How do the fragments read and sound on the F75? Thanks

Frags are generally deeper (8-10inchs) and give a wide, fairly rounded tone. Solid in all directions. No fuzzy or ragged readings. They should clean up nice with electrolsys.

Are they low iron tones medium tones? And what are the vdi #'s or close? Thanks again!

It's all metal. No tones. Just increase in loudness of threshold. Numbers were jumpy, due to the size and amount of rust on the pieces. Mostly 10-15.
