All-Metal mode vs Zero Disc. mode

Sorry if this is already posted somewhere. I did see whispers about these two modes being different, but I'm hoping for a more technical distinction between the two. I have had the pleasure of using an AT Max, and I was astonished with the difference in depth between zero-disc, and all-metal, but I'm hoping to find out what the differences are between these two modes. Thanks everyone!

I found this post on the eubject.
Hopefully it helps.

Good luck and happy hunting.

The AT MAX true all metal mode is DEEP! Plus, you can also use iron audio, and it gives you a VDI number. Be aware, as in all metal detectors, that the deep target VDI numbers are not always accurate. So....dig them anyways! If they are DEEP, chance are that they are old. The AT Gold also has a true all metal mode, but not as deep as the AT MAX.
