All Metal Mode Vs. Coin Mode

I am a CXIII user, but I think the same questions apply to all Garrett users.

Is there any advantage at all to COIN mode? I have tried to find a reason to use this mode, but when I weigh the two, ALL METAL seems to be the only way to hunt. The only time I ever use COIN mode is when there is an extremely large amount of trash. I use the detector mostly for coin shooting, but I dig many relics as well. I would never want to give up the depth that I get in ALL METAL mode. I also dug an 1859 Indian Head last week that read slightly above a nickel. Had I been in COIN mode, I most definitely would have missed this.

Other than the reason above, why use coin mode?

If you are not concerned about missing coins, hate digging junk and just want to cherry-pick the easy stuff, coin mode works OK.

That is what I thought...
