All Metal Mode on T2?

I hate the fact that the T2 only has silent search. There is no way to know if I am missing targets too deep for the Discriminate channel. On my Excalibur I generally hunt in All Metal mode (on clean beaches), and then when I get a signal I switch over to Discriminate to check it.

Does anyone use the same method with the T2? It would only work if accepting all targets including iron in Discriminate mode because there is no "nulling". If the detector stays silent when switching over to Disc, the target is just too deep for the Discriminate channel and may be worth digging.

Neil a run all metal then switch over to discriminate set up disc to about 39 sen around 80 then bp then go over to all metal and threshold on -1 sen 80 manually ground balance then switch back and forth

I guess I did not realize that the T2 displays the ID numbers, even in All Metal. My other brand detectors (Minelab & White's) don't do this.

Problem solved! All Metal it is!

I used all metal while at a civil war spot and found a bullet at an honest 12". Gave a good signal and I.D. Looks like I'll be using the all metal mode when I go back.
